Mojave Desert Tortoise (Gopherus agassizii)
This image was captured using a 79 Bushnell PIR camera trap inside of a metal drainage culvert along US 93. The photo quality allows us to use shell patterns to ID individual tortoises and monitor their use of the culverts. We can also use the corrugations within the pipe to estimate tortoise size.
