This photograph sums up many things; First of all, to say that it is part of my work as a road ecologist, in an inspection of a highway when I looked into a culvert I found this scenario that caught my attention, many times in nature we find important life lessons. They see that the dry space is limited, therefore it must be shared, it does not matter that we are not the same, with the naked eye we see frogs or toads, in reality there are two different species, one of frog and another of toad (biologist's comment 🤓 ). That day I thought many things about tolerance in a moment of life in which we are taking care of each other, and I also thought that an event like this goes completely unnoticed, since no one is looking into sewers on the side of roads and they cannot see the beauty that that means: species in harmony sharing the living space.
I took a thousand photos that day and even made videos, when reviewing them and seeing my reflection I felt more moved, because my job is to prevent these animals from being run over on the roads, seeing the complete photograph I feel that I am protecting them and I feel one with them!!
