The Landscape Lab at The Ray is an innovation corridor located on Interstate 85 in western Georgia. In partnership with Georgia Power, The Ray is an example of how a ROW solar installation can also provide important pollinator habitat. This presentation will discuss the history of this project and the other approaches The Ray is researching for ROW pollinator habitat establishment. Along with pollinator-friendly ROW solar, The Ray is researching perennial wildflower meadow establishment, slope stabilization plantings, and alternative ROW plantings to reduce mowing. All of these projects aim to establish and improve pollinator habitat as well as improve ROW soils and stormwater management capacity in the ROW.
